In every industry there are pioneers. And those special people, those pioneers pave the roads within their industry.

They are icons, who through long devoted hours of research and application refine and perfect every inch of the very field they have created. Some such familiar icons are the likes of Henry Ford, Jay Paul Gettie, William Randolph-Herst, Howard Hughes, P.T. Barnum, Gunther Gable Williams, Bruce Lee, Sam Goldwyn, Don King, Vince McMahon, Sam Walmart, Dave Thomas, Bill Gates, Jack Healy and Jim Salva just to name a few.

What each man brought to the table was a polished sophistication and one hundred percent knowledge of every aspect of their business and the ability to pass on in great depth every inside secret and tiny facet of their lives work.

Jack Healy's life of study to perfect the most successful and in depth canine training and behavioral science method ever known, took him to every continent in pursuit and observation of each form of wild dog that each continent possessed.

After eighteen years of federally funded study he returned to the United States to begin his search for the perfect partner to assist him in putting his long study into practical application.

It was the summer of nineteen sixty seven when in fact Jack met Jim Salva. Jim in his mid twenties had already obtained every form of U.S. offered dog training education. Yet he was found wanting, he craved the knowledge of "WHY" canine's behaved in the many manners that they did. Not just to have a quick fix response through hard training methods. To fully understand the why's and wherefores of what each dog was thinking.

After a twenty five year partnership during which the two men together successfully co-wrote, authored and copy writ the world renowned, "The Healy-Salva Method" of Command Dog Training, developed world wide training centers including Canine Command Dogs and United Sates K-9 Academy. Trained over 16,938 dogs, including every imaginable age and breed, in all forms of training. From basic obedience to in depth behavioral problems, from all three levels of in home and personal protection, to all forms of police and military training. All forms of assistance and competition dogs, you name it they did it.

Sadly in December of 1988 Jack Healy lost his fight for life to cancer, leaving the "precious torch" in the trusted hands of Jim Salva. The business continued to flourish worldwide until late 1999 when Jim required a full aortic bypass. Forced into early retirement in order to regain his strength. His deepest sense of commitment and desire was to pass the treasured "torch", all the in depth, inside and insightful secrets which created the most successful canine training method ever known, "The Healy-Salva Method" of Command Dog Training.

After careful consideration and observation of his son Frank Salva, a young man who grew up inside the many operations. Always with a dog lovingly in his hands, possessing the most gentle of nature. Along with 100% commitment to canine behavioral science, Jim decided Frank was undoubtedly the perfect choice with whom to pass this torch.

Now himself in his mid twenties, Frank along with his father, Jim Salva have established an ongoing carefully staffed training center in the foothills of Connecticut and are permanently relocating themselves and their primary base of operations to central California. Both men with a deep love for the state of California intend to offer the residents what no other animal behaviorist can offer.
